DCCD into an RA
Hey guys,
My dad has a TYPE RA clasic 95plate import.
He is currently looking at purchasing a DCCD gearbox and rear diff.
My question is how hard is it to fit and what alterations need to be made to the car to house this??
Are there any modifactions needed to make it fit??
regards

Just doing the same with my 92 RA. I bought an STI RA v2 box and swapped out the front diff and fitted my 4.1. Wish I had just bought a 3.9 rear diff as it cost me 300 quid to get it swapped over.
I then bought one of these:

Much easier than trying to wire in the OE set up and gives you full auto just like the newage cars.
There are no mods needed to fit other than wiring of the dccdpro and making sure your front and rear diff ratio's match.

If he found a DCCD box diff and ecu we have a loom out of a V2 sti RA we bought as a rolling shell. So it would be just a case of matching up wires.
would that be ok??
regards and thanks for the quick reply
