I am interested in this dump valve but need advice as to level of sound and when it kicks in.

yep i have one.

Its loud, its whistles are low speed gear changes right up to a loud ppppttttiiissshhhh whistle noise, if I drove the car everyday for work etc then I think it would be a bit much, it once gave a big dump at a bus stop when I wasgoing past loud enough to make a girl scream in shock.

Not sure hwere you are but if you are near south london/kent/surrey you can come & have a listen.
