WRX P1??
Only reason i ask is that and don't hold me to this, I read before that when the p1 was developed by prodrive the first car was a white 2dr. When the p1 finaly hit the dealers one of the main concern / complaints was it was only 2dr and people where interested in a 4dr version, prodrive decided to start teting on a 4dr shell which again came from Subaru in White. By the time it was ready for production The dealers still had not sold the last batch of p1's due to the price and it was then decided to pull the 4dr version. So there are 2 White p1's one a 2dr the other a 4dr so it is possible that the log book may state P1 if it's a White car, if not then forget all the above loL

The P1 development vehicle was white and Vikki Buttler Henderson tested it............it's well known on SN
and AFAIK all P1 work was with the Retna bodyshell.
Prodrive used a number of other imports (4 door) to work on at various times, Mike Tuckerwood had one. The rumour is that they were released with GX on the logbook indicating that they were non-turbo. Whereas in fact soeme had huge turbo's LOL

hey up steve333, i actually thought that i owned a v5 white type r that was gonna be a donor for the p1 Reg; T*** POA, cause it was registered and imported from new by prodrive, also it's a listed has having a 2.2litre on the logbook, which i'm lead to believe that prodrive was going to be using intially before they decided to use the 2.0 block, but done a bit of digging and found out marcus dodd used to own it.

Your car is well known
And there are lots of jealous people on here whom might like it, me included
I've never come accross a 4 door P1 and maybe the boys on P1WOC can let me know

yeah my reg is t***bfc,as far as i can find out all the other prototypes have been crushed, but for some reason mine was,nt luckily.I now have it in writing from Prodrive that mine was a prototype as well,i have all the photos etc,but its nice to have it in writing, the car actually came with the test book from Millbrook/MIRA,and a load of other bits,so its definetley gen.Its still a bit of a mystery why it wasnt crushed like the others though, someone knows, but it doesnt really matter i suppose.
Its a nice car to own mate, and brilliant to drive, but part of the idea of buying it was it wasnt going to cost me a fortune because i didnt want to change anything.I should have known better
because instead of changing bits like i,ve done on all my other scoobys,i,ve gradually repalced half the car with original parts, and its bloody dearer than aftermarket bits,i,ve just bought all new suspension, dont even ask how much
Still,in a few years the car will be brand new again. But then again its all about the enjoyment you get from doing it and the shows etc isnt it?
isnt it?
