I am having trouble trying to work out what number out of 1000 my P1 is,i have tried breaking down the Vin number but i dont think thats right? appreciate any help

 

Ring any subaru dealer, tell them your vin and it comes up on the computer as well as radio codes, locking wheel nut code etc etc............ my mate had to do the same as the plaque is a optional extra if i remember correctly!

 

Is there not a plaque inside some place probably near the centre console? Due to never owning one I'm not sure where its located but IIRC there should be one some place? unless you have a Type R?

There is a plaque, right hand side front suspension turret.
There was more than 1000 numbers (no 13's etc)

 

Under the bonnet on the nearside(right side ) should be a metal plate with your vin number on. this also has what number yours should be.

 

Under the bonnet kerb side there sholud be a plate like the vin plate on drivers side
The near side plate has the build number stamped on it

hi guys im a newbie here trying to find info on a P1 i am about to buy.
i dont think there was a plaque in the car but i forgot to check. but i did find something a bit strange and was hoping you guys could help me out.
on the driver side there is plate aswell as the passenger side in the engine bay. one says fuji heavy industries ltd and one of the numbers says....

e13.98/14.0026
on the other plate it says subaru uk ltd and the numbers....
e13.98/14.0052

now i know it should have the uk plate because it was sold as an offical uk car but the thing that is worrying me is the two numbers not matching....ie the 0026 and the 0052.
im guessing that these are build numbers and they are different.
i just dont want to buy the car and for it to turn out not beibg a P1.
