Hi to everyone.

Well its been nearly two months since ive seen my type-r, had the bottom end let go on a rolling road shootout at dyno demon on the wirral.

After much thought and a lot alot of good reccomendations from you guys on scooby net, it was arranged with David from API to have my car recovered to them for the engine rebuild.

Since the beggining of the year ive spoke to David quite alot, hes a very straight talking, knowledgable, no bull**** type of guy and has enspire alot of confidence in me that the build will be a quality job.

In the end i decided that since im having to go through all this heart ache of my engine going bang that the car was going to have the best! a fully forged build using api branded steel rods, forged pistons, race bearings, decat downpipe, uprated fuel pump and a remap ect ect.

Aslong as everything goes to plan at API next week, i should be due to get my car back next saturday morning, im itching to get back in it again, i just cant wait any longer, its like being a kid on xmas eve all over again, the only downside is having to be carefull for the next 1000miles whilst the engine is running in, after that i will be returning to api for the final remap on the rollers which to be honest scares me a little now, especially with the amount of money im putting into this rebuilt engine.

Id like to thank David and his team at API for everything theyve done for me, although ive not yet met David or been to API my expectations are high, and i think anybody in a similar position to me could do alot worse than send ther car to API.

Roll on next saturday

Thanks Tristan

Relax no-one would be more shocked than API if it were to "let go" on the rollers...

Yeah, you're right there dunx!,

I've managed to break just 3 cars over ten years when out mapping, which is not a bad percentage l suspect and none of them were our engines OR unexpected.

BUT it is still a toughie to arrive back from a run up the road, ends rattling and then have to explain to someone that they ain't going home in that tonight ....

David
