Default Crunchy Gears

Hi People,

I'm new here so bare with me. I have a 2004 sti type uk with ppp.

Some of my gears are starting to crunch mainly from 4th to 5th and from 5th - 6th when changing fast. If I change slowly they still feel stiff compared with other gear changes. This issue seems to be getting worse and I had a crunch from 1st to 2nd this morning.

Is this signs of a new cluch being needed or a fault with my gearbox perhaps?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh

Yeah my gears are bad until the car has warmed up. I have been speaking with a few garages and they seem to think it could be the syncro mesh which is going. I understand that you pay by the gear to fix this?

How would would this cost per gear any ideas? How much would a replacement recon gear box be?

Thanks people.
