can anyone tell me if it possible to put a 7 bolt uk gearbox with external driveshaft splines into a 54 reg uk car that has the internal drieshaft spline as i bought the new shape car with a noisy front diff an i have a gearbox out the classic shape with diff to match the driveshafts seem to be the sam elength but dont want to take it out and find that there is something different as the car still drives and dont fancy pushing it in and out til i can find a box for it, any replys would be greatly appreciated thanks.
