Do i convert to RWD or go DCCD ?
right as you can guess im planning a gearbox for my shed,,,, now the question is do i convert it to RWD or get a DCCD with no electrics and have a rear bias split of AWD ?
this is just a fun toy i will be using for the ring/track and general arsing about in cars with
any ideas ?
DCCD costs more to do,,,, im already rebuilding a box to my ratios but this seems a better idea perhaps

Impreza's are all bais towards the rear anyway, if you look into how much it will cost to convert to rwd you may be a little shocked at the cost (it wont be cheap).
DCCD doesnt give you more rwd anyway, it just gives you different ammounts of slip on the diff (hence also why dccd cars have lsd's on the rear).

ive also thort about this but if you take into account the extra you are asking from the standard rear diff dont think it would cope alot is lost from the 4wheel drive system.

are impreza's read biased anyway ?
its either that or get a plate front diff to match the rear and a DCCD,, see the costs going up already and to convert to RWD aint "that much" and it might release more power to the rear and help the taller ratios is the thinking behind it,,,, though my crap driving is a reason why i chose a impreza in the first place
