due to to going down 2.5 rout iv decided to sell on my engine out my type as it has lost compresson in number 1 cylinder i think(1 nearist the battery)

i believe its down to rings but not 100% could just be head gasket perfect pre running order rebuilt by prevous owner (another memeber on here) less than 6ooomiles ago

bottom end was sweet as a nut no knocks or rattles so crank rods and even piston should be perfect and heads are mint also as we have inspected all when looking with the snap on bore camera

heads are genuin sti 4 heads all again all mint and still complete and fitted to the engine

i ideally want to sell as a complete engine as it should be a good build for some 1

its still fitted at the mo but will be getting removed in next couple days it be sold as a long engine no other parts attached

Peeps remember the heads are good for 500BHP and a mate of mine runs them at 550BHP so surely this is got to be a good buy.

 

were on the same wave lenght baly the heads are worth 350plus on there on then the crank is still god piston and rods and block is also good..a new set ov rings and few gaskets it should be back to a top engine

il give it a few weeks and il consider splitting it but im in no rush to sell so not to fussed mate cheers for the info for tempted buyers

Whats the snow situation down your way. i would like to come and collect it asap, but i dont want to drive down m6 if its crap because its a long enough day and dont want to do it at 50mph. any info on m6 drivin conditions would help. hi bud i know what your saying the motorways seem to be flowing ok this end bud not sure about further afield tho the only good thing is ilm literally 2minutes off junction 10 ov the m6 so its all motorway miles for you

cris what gaskets you buying for 450 mate gold plated 1s??you should able get away with just the 1 head off and pop the piston out to replace the rings so only a new haed gasket and head bolts and rocker cover gasket is need 4 the 1 side

as for knowing what it is its 95% rings mate the bores and that look good with the snap on scope and the piston and valves the rings are passing oil so 95%its just rings bud

 

chris must be buying a full kit and rebuildin full engine. (best way). i will pm you if im coming. its about a 5-6 hour drive each way. Lots of black ice up my way.

 

even with a full build you can get orignal subaru gasket kits for around 210/250 mark iv just pm'ed you back mate cheers
