I'm looking to mod my MY99 now it's coming out of warrenty. Looking to put a Dawes and replace the exhaust system. I use my Scoob for work and can't have it any noiser than the standard car. Can anyone recommend something that will give the performance increase without the sound increase?

Many thanks
Rich.

Wouldn't it be nice if the search worked?
I imagine 'a DP of your choice' any resonated mid-section & a Remus BB would be the quietest. Most noise comes from the BB - the Remus is the quietest one I think anyone knows of. Resonator in the mid helps a little as well.

Thanks nom - life without the search feature is hard

I'm up at AWD's open day on the 30th of this month so I should be able to hear a decent selection of cars.

Cheers
Richard.

straight through silencers ( for both mid and rear sections ) will flow better than std and the bigger the boxes the quieter it will be. Oh and stick to 2.5" system, 3" will be louder.

A magnex do a centre with resinator, that should help keep the noise down. Otherwise you could get a custom section made up to your requirements.

I had a 3" mid/rear section with 2 silencers made up by powerflow 'cause I wanted a full decat 3" system but the not usual volume. The result is no louder than a lot of peoples back boxes, but it's still very deep and boomy.
