Default Sticky Steering Wheel

Got in my car the other morning and the steering wheel was all sticky on the top. Was fine the night before when I parked it up.

Also the passenger front door card was similar just not as bad.

It seems ok now but there is a residue on the top where it was sticky.

Any ideas what caused this? how to stop it happening again and what the best stuff to remove the residue is?

Cheers

errmmmm sticky residue ????? lol careful you're opening yourself up to jokes and ridcule about body fluids .. lol probably a kid with jam on their fingers!!

I had a problem with a 'sticky' dashboard just a build up of dust and stuff, any kitchen type cleaner should help then go over with a proper dash cleaner

If the steering wheel is old the leather can go soft so if its been a damp night the moisture from that could have set the steering wheel off, not 100% whats on ur door unless it was there before but u didnt spot it,
Unless you had a can of pop when u came home and got a few splashes on the wheel and door card?
