ecu questions

i have bought a td05 to fit my 95 wrx wagon and want to check what ecu i have before buying a z4,can anyone tell me where the ecu is on my car and will it effect my alarm if i change it?

Passenger footwell under the carpet and kickplate.
Shouldn't affect the alarm.
