Default what turbo?

what turbo will be fitted to my97 sti. i'm assumeing its the original one.

what sort of power will the standard turbo be good for.

my last car had about 250bhp so i'd like to better this by at least 100bhp and hit the 350bhp mark.

It'll probably be a VF23 which is good for about 335 with supporting mods. You can hit 350 with a VF34 + injectors but thats a hell of a lot of money for an extra 15bhp IMHO.

i agree alot of pounds per horsepower.

it will be staling standard till after christmas i would think. though i would like to breach the 300 mark asap then maybe go mad next year and aim for 400-450ish.

Yeah that sounds like a much better plan to me. You should be able to get over 300 relativly cheaply. That should keep you happy while you save up for a massive power build
