Question HOW DO YOU GET RID OF AIR IN THE COOLANT SYSTEM

Anyone know how to bleed the coolant system to get rid of air, 2003 sti

Default

I did mine today by removing header tank cap and squeezing the rad hoses top and bottom to force air through, you will see the water bubble as air is released. Then top up with coolant and run with heater full on, I had to do it 3 times before it resolved my problem with overheating... but I'm no expert, this is what worked for me..

Cheers dude ,its not over heating i can just hear it after fitting a new turbo and topping up, its now gurgling a bit. I wil do a bit of sqeazing tomorrow. :-)

Alao while running the engine with the header cap OFF make sure the heater is in the hot position

i've had this problem for at least 12 months ( can hear air in matrix under dash when accel from idle ) i've tryied draining and refilling three times , and still there , i've give up . run ok though no over heating
