Default Anti lift Kit?

I've seen this mentioned but I don't really know what it is, I've had a read through this http://www.whiteline.com.au/articles...WL%20ALK_b.pdf but I'm even more confused, can anyone explain in simple terms what it does and do I need it? Cheers all.

It does a few things.

-Increase static caster
-reduce caster loss
-reduce anti geometry

In practice it allows front suspension to work more freely by removing the loads caused by the anti lift geometry. This results in better front end grip, most noticeable mid corner on slow tight corners (ie less understeer).

Thanks for the replys guys, I understand now what it does. I'm guessing that it's one of the later modifications to do to the car so I'll leave it for now.

I think it is one of the first mods to do. Especially as most of the standard front wishbone, rear bushes are hydraulic. These often look fine, but under load, they just give way, reducing front end grip significantly............

easy job m8 just follow the inst/ use the lube and tighten the bolts ,and nut on the end of the wishbone tight
anti lift brackets are marked right and left ,thats from the drivers seat ,so left is the n/side right o/side
i like to tighten the wishbone nut with the weight on the suspension on the deck.

Hmm better than the usual rubbish anyway!

Increased castor means increased -ve camber whan the wheels are turned, this improves front end grip, also by replacing the standard anti-lift geometry with pro-lift, the front lifts more under power, this reduces the effective spring stiffness (so is like fitting softer front springs) so the weight transfer in a corner is biased more towards the rear, thus reducing understeer. The downside is that increaesed castor reduces steering feel while increasing apparent weight.
