hi folks iv only had my car 2weeks now and have notiched that my gearbox oil is very very low, i put 1 liter of millers fs 75-90 in today and was no where near enough, just how many liters goes the gear box hold??? Its a 96 sti ver 3 5 speed.

Have you read your manual, it's all there? There are filler/level plugs, you fill until you see oil at the filler/level plng (Usually the same plug).

 

Hi Guys sorry to butt in, anyone can confirm that the 4 speed Auto/Tip box I have in JDM 02 WRX hold 9.5l of oil ???Wanting to do an oil change sooooon

 

no sorry i didnt get a manuel with the car and since its a import it wouldt of been in english.

 

There are no filler/level plugs on the Subaru 5 spd boxes, you fill through the dipstick tube until you get the correct reading on the dipstick.

Sorry mate Im not sure, but nearly 10 litres that sound a hell of a lot

As it's a JDM the manual is in good old japanese and the capacity chart in a new age "manual" I have (not original) states 9.5L for the Auto trans

 

Yup it's 9.3l for the box & 1.2 for the front diff

Hi Guys BTTT for this topic again - Can anyone tell me the service interval for a gearbox oil change ? No manual for my 02 JDM AUTO car has 50,000 miles

 

Every 30,000 miles or 3yrs (whichever comes first)
