I desperately need to operate my scanner its a HP scanjet 4470c with a scanjet xpa

It is used for scanning negatives, we have recently changed all our pcs to Vista Basic,
And now appears that HP do not have a driver for Vista,

There must be a wayu please help???

I DOWNLOADED THAT DRIVER, THANK YOU GOOD JOB I UNDERSTAND DUTCH.
HOWEVER STILL SAYS SCANNER NOT CONNECTED TO PC,
IV PLUGED IT INTO A XP COMPUTER WITH SAME LEADS ETC PICKS IT UP STRAIGHT AWAY.

I don't think your scanner works with Vista as there is no drivers for it on the Hp website. I think you'll need a new scanner if you want to use Vista.

I got the driver working that was sent above , however i have in my section add scanners and camera its got xerox scanner showing, i dont have a xerox never have done, and i dont seem to be able to selete this to add the new one, any ideas please

 

Maybe the drivers trick Vista in to emulating a Xerox scanner. Have you tried going with the Xerox option?

Why do you need to delete it? It's not stopping you doing anything is it.

 

NO your right, but dont know why it appears as i never owned a xerox, and whilst there i cant add the HP

 

Why can't you add the HP? I can see the Add Device button is enabled so you can add another device.

 

yes but the scanjet will not apparently work on vista, iv looked all over the web, i need the driver first to add.
i can get the scanner to scan then doesnt show image, starts clicking etc, i plug scanner into an xp works straight away
