You need to provide more information

I read that as you want to shrink your current C: to free up some space to create an additional partition on your hard disk?

Partition Magic or Paragon Partition manager will do the job and not lose any files. (unless u have a powercut)

yes shrink was the key word. you can do this in disk management just didnt work first time even though it still only shrinks to half the disk size. C: 135Gb D:135Gb. I want C: 20Gb D: 250Gb.

Another question. what free RAID management progs are there? The server CD drive is buggered so been using a 4gb usb stick but the dell server management is too big for it, I need something smaller. Can you also do active RAID changes?
