Default newbie needing some advice

I've been looking for a classic for a while now and I got an email about a Turzo.

Not quite sure on this model can any1 give me any info and possible what it is worth

Its "R" reg so 1998
Got 99000 miles
some damage to the front splitter (in pic can you get new splitter or is it new bumper?)
The guy said full service history but yet to prove it
done a hpi nothing unusual apart from 14 owners!!!!

Here's some pics

Please let me know what you think all advice greatly appriciated.

Need to know what its worth as he wants a swap with my 5k boat

All i know is that its a special edition. Im sure theres some one else on here to explain further. But 14 owners? That would put me off straight away.

On that mileage with the damage, realistically £2.5K tops.

The Terzo was a limited edition, but was basically a bog standard UK Turbo with different stickers and a few bits and bobs, so isnt particularly desirable compared to the ltd editions that has performance upgrades etc...

In fact, just had a quick look on Autotrader, and a dealer is selling one with 94K miles with FSH for £2999 - allowing for it being a dealer and being more expensive and not damaged, I'd reckon £2250 for the one you're looking at.

Think hes completely dreaming there ! Possibly a year, 18 months ago he may have got that for it, but the prices have dropped through the floor over the past year, and higher mileage cars with lots of owners are only going to sell if they are really cheap.

Find the one on AT and email him the link to that and he may see that its not worth what he though it was anymore, mind you, your boat might not be worth as much now either, so check that out and see what it would actually sell for !

I don't think that it's worth £5k, especially with 14 owners, 100k on the clock, a bit of damage. You could get a nice Type R for that money.
