My bugeye with new bigger scoop fitted (& my first attempt at painting)
Well basicly i wanted to change the boring look of the car and decided to buy a new bigger sti bonnet scoop
It came in primer and i thought i would give spray painting a go, i wanted to do i proper job at it, this consisted of
-3 layers of grey primer:

-3 layers of base coat:

- 3 layers of clear coat:

finished and dried:

And finally test fitting it to my bugeye:

I think i have colour matched well:

It just goes to show, anyone can learn to paint with abit of practice, only cost me around 15 quid to do it, cheap compared to bodyshop charges

looks ok but the photos are'nt to clever. ive tried painting small things like foglight covers before but imo by the time you buy all the stuff you need your better off having someone to do it for you and get a better finish.

Not necessarily true mate, i still have loads of primer/paint/lacquer left, i will be painting my fog covers with them, the total of the paints came to around 15pounds, not including the primer as i have loads laying around.
I think it's pointless really going to a garage for small things like these, i saved a small fortune which i have now put towards a new backbox or induction kit
