It seems that racing a racing car is not as dear as some people
think........ nor is it prohibitively complicated to enter.......

Imagine a Formula Ford Zetec 130 MPH racing car, ready to go at £7k.... All the setup and maintenance that you need is already there....

Just had ex racer Glen Mortimer on the phone, explaining the virtues of racing here in Scotland....

He went on to say that the SMRC are holding an open day type thing at Knockhill this Sunday. 10th March. at 10:00 am

It's to try and show, just how easy and inexpensive it is to go racing, whether it's in your own standard car, or in a proper racing car... The workshops will be open, Graeme Brunton, setup wizard extra-ordinare will be there to explain how he sets up his cars, and Kevin Pick and Chris Edwards of the SMRC will be giving talks on how it all goes together.

Anyhoo, why not look in and see what they're upto.

Glen watched us all Karting on Wednesday and reckons that there's plenty Scooby and Elise drivers that are fast enough to be in there mixing it
