What brakes do you have at the mo?
Green brake pads as in EBC green brake pads?
If so they aren't suitable for imprezas (as far as i know)

I went for a quiet sunday drive a while back with a friend who also has a WRX, when we re returned the brakes were smoking quite a lot! ... I fitted Brembo's.. this cured the problem ! lol

Cant recommend them enough, now I find im braking what I think is normally and my friend will say we need to stop as his have faded totally! ... The standard WRX brakes are not up to much in my opinion, esp for those quiet sunday drives :-)
