Question Twin Scroll headers and up pipe

Dose any one know what power the standard twin scroll headers and up pipe are good for? also are the standard heat shields any good or is it worth taking them off and wrapping them instead?

That is a good price but I need to know what the standard ones are capable of first to see if i need to change them or not.

Did you do any mods to yours when you had the twin scroll setup on?

Just taken delivery of my new forged 2.5 which is intended to run at around 500/500 once I get a new turbo on. This is a twin scroll setup and my original plan was to my standard JDM twinscroll headers and up-pipe - neither the engine builder (Subaru4You) nor the mapper (Simon/JGM) expressed any concern over that plan.

I was going to get them ceramic coated but as it happens, I got hold of a set of Tomei equal length headers for a price I couldn't refuse and I've had them and my Milltek downpipe coated instead.

When I researched the Tomei headers they appeared to offer a 20bhp gain: worthwhile, but not staggering. The JDM headers really are pretty good tbh.

HTH.

If that's the case I'll just stick with the stock ones then. Thanks for the info

I run over 500bhp on the stock TS headers, with no problems. The up-pipe was changed since I junked the TS Turbo.
