Saw this "SECS" while looking for Dawes info on performance exhaust website(in the gauges section)
Has anybody tried these on a scooby instead of 4 to 6 gauges, and if not John Banks are you listening. How hard would it be to build it ?

Depends on what you want to display, and how you get the information. Stephen Done is working on a dash display product which interfaces to the select monitor port. This would be the preferable way of doing it rather than using lots of ADCs to convert voltages, and waveforms, and it can also show diagnostic codes. The old shape Impreza select monitor port has a non-OBDII compliant interface so it is a lot of work - hence he has gone commercial with it. It is even more work to build a microcontroller device with a suitable display and interface/control setup. No small project! I cannot tell from the info on the page whether the SECS device is reading sensors or interfacing to the ECU. The price is not bad if it does what you want.

I don't think you save money by doing things DIY - they take so long. It is all a bit of fun really.
