classic 95 wrx wagon auto.... there is a button by the auto stick, just to the right and up a bit from P.R.N.D.1.2.3. panel. It doesn't click,or stay down, its just a button that doesn't seem to do anything!!!

I'm holding bets with the missus on what it should be doing!

 

I had to ask the same question when I purchased my auto Impreza.

It is a release button for the ****ft lever to enable you to put it into neutral without the ignition being switched on.

You push it in, and then you can change the gears on the auto box
