Default Radiator Hose Bulge

Noticed this whilst having a play around with alternator belts today

The pipe that goes from top of radiator has a huge bulge in it before connecting to the hard pipe on engine. Is this normal?

Cant say ive noticed it before.....

Just age normally, it's only rubber and age and the heating/cooliing cycles will degrade it

Just the excuse you need to upgrade to silicon hoses
