Default Auto no owners manual switch help?

just bought a classic 1993 with auto box know what the power button is and for etc but near handbrake there is another that has at manual on it whats it for????

I'm a newb so apologies if in wrong section

Hey!, welcome to scoobynet.

If it is the button I think it is - it is either;

A shift button to be able to get it out of park when the battery is flat and you can push it.

Or, it is a manual shifter so that you can drive the gear lever like a manual. handy for snow etc...
