It possible to do a straight swap with turbo's i.e: Turbo from a Impreza (phase 2 engine) onto my Legacy Turbo (1992)

I think you will find that Legacy turbos are similar to the early WRX cars in that they have a 90 degree inlet into the turbo.

The later cars have straight inlets so this is likely to cause you some grief.
