Default ECU board

Is there any way of identfying an ecu board without the case?,
A mate of mine has just bought a ecu board over the internet, It is ment to be a Z4 ecu,
It is a yellow 4 plug fitment, Has a blue sticker on the plug fitment
(000 RJ8) also a small stamp on the fitment (2E), and a sticker on the middle chip (F55NXC05)
