Unhappy

well that's it, the deed is done.

Scooby went to the dealer today, couldn't find anyone to take her privately.

Had a nice trip home enjoying the scenery on the train from Aberdeen though

Now I just have to decide what to buy when I get back to Australia. Will it be the HSV Clubsport with 340 bhp 5.7L V8, or an STi 7 for the equivalent of just under 20K pounds

Decisions, decisions

Andrew.

It's a hard life, so many difficult choices

Sorry to hear you couldn't find a private buyer

I'm slightly concerned about the use of nice and train journey in the same sentence

My old man had the same issues- bring back the 22B from Perth,WA or buy the HSV.... In the end he sold the Scoob to a friend staying in Perth and brought the 300KW HSV (about a year ago) and because is the system he is bringing it back to the UK and has no VAT to pay (BAS***D!).

Suffice to say that as he lives in Whitegate then Outlon Park will be a target for this monster in the very near future!

Still wish he had given me the chance to buy the Scoob though!

Enjoy yourself !

(You could always become a middle man for MRT and the UK as Brett tells me that Link Electrosystems in New Zealand will not allow him to supply stuff to the UK and we must use BRD instead as they are UK suplier for Link Electrosystems! Interested?)

Well done on the sale anyway. Thats two Scoobyless people I know now hehe.
See you hopefully before you leave God's own Country and go to a place a million miles away standing upside down for the rest of your life.

Andrew,

I take it the dealer in question is Town & County in Aberdeen? I had a courtesy call from them last week, "Just because it's a year since you bought your car...". Well it's only about 10 months, but it seemed like they were hoping for a sale of a new Scoob.

Anyway I asked him if they'd be interested in buying my car back (downsizing for various reasons soon) and was told "no thanks, we've got plenty of used cars in stock."

Mike.

Yep, T&C in Aberdeen.

I was actually quite amazed that he wanted the car, considering the number of second hand imprezas on the lot.

He gave me a grand more than John at S&S had originally offered as well, so you can paint me happy

Dave,

Hopefully you'll be coming to either the karting on Wednesday or knockhill on the 17th. I will be at both these events, although in my 1.0L corsa rent-a-crapbox

Andrew,

you told some class one porkies during your radio interview though

"I'm here dropping off my car, and have just done a deal on a new STi" or something like that.

Couldn't stop laughing!

Did they persaude you to do the interview and tell you what to say ?

Wink

Hey John,

They asked me to do a radio interview, as the local radio station that they sponsor was in broadcasting live.

They asked me if I was willing to say that they did me a great deal on an STi. I console myself with the fact that they did do me an excellent deal on the car that I sold them, and they let me drive the STi demonstrator down to the train station for the trip home

I can't believe you were actually listening, how did you know it was me, did the accent give me away

See you at the karting on Wednesday, this is going to be real embarresing if anyone else heard the broadcast.

Andrew.

Don't worry about coming to the Karting in a hire car Andrew!!

I *am* waiting on Some oTher thIng and whilst I do I am driving a selection of dubious vans - unless someone wants to give me a lift to the karting!!

As to your interview I didn't hear it but I have heard about it

Andrew,

how did I know it was you ? You are kdding aren't you

"I'm Andrew, and I'm originally from Australia" were your opening words.

We were driving the kids to my mum's house to drop them off before picking up my new car. My wife always has the radio tuned to the local station.

I don't think anyone would have a recording of it, unless you contacted the radio station themselves at www.northsound.co.uk

Question

I wonder if they could provide us with a recording to take along on Wednesday night?
