Default Window rubbers etc

Gave the scoob a machine polish on saturday. 1st time using the machine. Its a spear and Jackson model with Serious performance pads (great service from them) as I'm only a beginner lol

Used a mix of poorboys SSR and Megs swirl remover. followed by Poorboys purple Haze polish and EXP. The black looks like glass, but it still has some very light lines in the paint and the silver feels smooth lol, for a 1st time I thought I done ok.

Now the question is, now the paints nice and glass like, how do you get all the rubbers around the window and the roof gutters all nice and clean? I've a few different itmes, like 303, megs and some isoprop, but they never look that great after a few days.

Any tips would be great.

Thanks
Ricey

Hey Ricey. Good to see you got the machine polisher (well in a way ). Be good to see some pics up, your cars colour set up is brilliant, and if it's all shined up now will look excellent.

For the external rubber bits I usually go with Megs all season dressing - two coats at least evely applied (let dry in after each one) then buff it.
303 I generally use under the bonnet.
Know what you mean though, sometimes feels like it doesn't last - thing is it'll still be better than it was just now as good as when you apply.

Plenty of others to chose from e.g. Raceglaze and GlossIt, but never used so can't comment.

Think may be technique as much as anything else ??

Cheers for the info, think i'll try the megs all seasons before moving on to anything and see how that goes.

Got some pics on my phone, i'll see how they look before putting them up! lol

Sorry for the late response; rubber trims usually come up great if you clean them thoroughly with a citrus wash product (such as R222 Total Auto Wash) and then dress them with a durable exterior dressing, such as Raceglaze Colour Enhance trim Dressing, or Gloss It TRV. Megs All Season Dressing is another good choice, but can only be bought in bulk, making it more costly.
