I don't have a UK300 but to answer your question about upgrading bulbs, have a look at http://www.hid.uk.com/bulb1.html they have lots of piaa bulbs which increase the wattage considerably.
These are not for road use, but I have replaced my high beam 55w for a 110w (not for road use bulb) and the difference is staggering.
Bloody expensive at £59 for 2 but worth it.
Incidentally my high beams are called Xtreme White.
I would not consider changing my dipped beam headlight for a 110w version as I would blind too many people.

Has anyone upgraded their uk300 headlamps with higher intensity bulbs? (Excludin HID of course)
Just ordered my set and was wondering what the difference in performance is between the bug-eyes with Philips Vision Plus and UK300 with standard bulbs?

Any help/advice gratefully received as always!

Nick,i sold some Vision Plus to a bloke who had UK300 lights (H7)
fitment, he said they were better than the standard ones, hope this helps.
PS,Buy them from, speeding.co.uk they are only 26 quid and that includes delivery
