Hi all,

I feel that i need to warn other genuine good willed scoobynet members of con-men like RAZI ISLAM. Because of this bloke im £105 out of pocket I urge you all not to buy from him as he has sold me a dodgy/bodged item and is now ignoring me. Ive given him a couple of weeks to respond but im getting no reply what so ever.

This is how this incident happened.

Last month (march) i bought a genuine HKS BOV for my classic impreza from RAZI ISLAM. He said it was in good working order and in good condition. He wanted £150 but i managed to get him down to £105. It arrived a couple of days late as he didnt post it straight away, this was annoying as i told him my car is off the road untill i get a bov fitted.

When it turned up i was concerned about how genuine the BOV was. As i dont know much about these BOV's i got a mate to check it over who has got a genuine BOV and knows abit about them. He said it looks genuine but noticed that if you look through the front of it through the purple fin, you can see a purple ring inside. This purple ring had a blob of black sealer on it!! He looked at it and said thats not normal. So i started the car to check how the purple ring moved. After 5 mins of and a few revs later the purple ring had come away from the black sealer and the ring had fallen down! I took it off straight away.(so bits of the bov dont get sucked through the intake).

So i tried getting hold of RAZI ISLAM and when i did he sounded suprised but offered me his other BOV so i can swap the bits over (but id have to pay for the other one too) or a refund. So i said ill take the refund so i can put it towards a new BOV. I cudnt get hold of him for a while after that. Then when i did he said i cundnt have my money back till the guy he bought it from gave him his money back. So i waited a bit longer and contacted him again. 'Yes you can have your money back, it will be in your paypal account tonight ifnot tomorrow'. Was it there?! NO

Then to top it off i got a txt message from him saying that im not due a refund because when he sold it to me it was working fine.
I cant believe it. I opened a dispute with paypal but as i sent it as a gift they wont take it any further! So i asked again for a refund and . . . . .

He said he couldnt pay me back because he didnt have the money so i said ok, just send me the other bov(he had 2 of them, one with a corroded outer casing and one shiny one) and ill take the guts from the corroded one and put them in the dodgy/shiny one that you sent me. He agreed but ive never heard from him since!! Ive been sending him txts daily and the odd phone call but to no avail. Im just getting ignored. It looks like im not going to get my money back or the other bov so ive **** out £105!! Thanks very much you ******* for making me wait ages then letting me down. Ive now how to buy a brand new turbosmart bov for £150 and pay for transport to work. Ive got plenty of pics of the offending article but im not sure how to upload them on here. Help would be appreciated.

This bov is currently up for sale now spares or repair. Make me an offer. Can send pics.

As you can see in the photos the purple ring has come away and he has used super glue and black sealer to fix it. Bodge!!

 

after looking at some of the close up pics m8, i think i need to go to specsavers!

you could have ran the car without a bov what happened to the one originally on the car and unfortunately your just one of the many unlucky ones who have bought stuff and found out later that its not as described another learning curve oh and did you manage to finish your easter egg hope it gets sorted out.

Ive bought a new turbo, injectors, hids, avcr, ecu exterior parts etc off here

without any probs! Had a good run i guess, im guna have to get stiched up

somewhen.

I dont hold much hope of seeing the money again

I wouldnt recommend him to anyone on here - i dont want the same to

happen to them.

Report it to the police and say if you had been a muslim you would of been sold a legit BOV and you want to raise it as a race crime

 

Sorry but thank god for I Trader as in a few months once people build up there feedback and things will be better!

2 things I look for before buying off anyone!

How long they have been on S/N and how many posts they have!

and Now there feedback!

If it's a seller with **** all of both I try and meet them!

It's scum like this who lets S/N down!

its a shame so many people have been ripped off recently, its not an experience i have been subjected too as yet but i certainly dont look forward to it.

its made selling items a little more difficult for people like me as automatically (and perfectly understandably) people look at number of posts and length of membership to guide them BUT now the itrader system is in place we can all benefit.

i hope both situations are resolved for you

Its only recently with the search feature back we can now do what we could do 12 mths ago if not a paid member.

its funny how alot of scams have been done in the time search was removed for most of us !

thanks for the support guys, i think i have been fair with him but enoughs enough. It just made me so angry when i read the post saying he bought it from hull sti and he knew it was dodgy then!! why the **** would you sell it on to me then???

Im sure if he mentioned that at the start when i was looking for a bov i would have politely turned him down.
