Default are tiscali / nildram / pipex going **** up ?

Just looking around for a good deal on broadband and Nildram looks good at £19.50 per month offering circa 1Mb/s upstream

Just wondering tif there about to all go **** up with the financial problems tiscali are having ?

Whats the word ?

It has been mentioned on the news that the Tiscali group (i.e. Pipex, Nildram, etc.) are in financial trouble. Chances are they'll be taken over by Car Phone Warehouse, Sky or someone else and you existing contract will just continue under the same terms with them.

I used to use Nildram, years and they were great but the customer service went down hill when they got taken over so went with Sky who, to be fair have been great, I was assuming cheap meant they wouldnt be so good but they are much better than how Nildram had got.

At work we are a virtual ISP with Nildram and re-sell their business ADSL. We heard this rumour a week or two back so spoke to someone in the know at Nildram, they have no concerns about going **** up.

They were taken over by Tiscali last year I think it was, but thankfully for us Nildram remained as is, would have caused a few issues with our customers if they suddenly disappeared!

I guess no one really knows what could happen but even if things did take a nose dive someone else would take it on I suspect.
