With firefox and the video downloader addon, they get stored as flv flash video files.

Think you need some software to capture the video/audio, if that's what you're thinking of, there's a few out there. Unfortunately I'm of no help but I do remember there was a thread on this not too long ago, so I'm sure someone knows!

Only thing i will say make sure it's the larger file, sometimes you have two or three choices, with hd stuff it's typically 90mb for 3 minutes of video.

Use Safari as your browser and you can just open the Activity window, double click the video component from the url's list and it will download it to your desktop ready to play in VLC or similar. No separate app required, although something like iSquint is good for converting to suitable formats for TV or iPod use.

Most of the Carpenters back catalogue can be had from petrol stations for peanuts anyway so i wouldn't worry about it

and even something that 'powerful' actually had a heat sink under the keyboard

I had one myself with a separate full travel keyboard. Coding in 16K and typing in the games you got in the magazines to find out half of them didn't work, so you had to bug fix the buggers.

Pete download a program called "Audacity", then follow this simple video, ironically found on Youtube
