Question Hotmail

Anyone know how to get rid of the advertising banner down the side of their Hotmail e-mails?

I don't mind banners, as such, it's just that it covers the e-mail and is driving me BONKERS!!!

Thanks

To be honest Pete I just use Outlook to get my Hotmail emails. I never actually use the Hotmail home page

Have you tried Windows Live Mail: http://download.live.com/wlmail

If you have the hotmail pop settings, can you not get gmail to collect your hotmail account and thus avoiding the advertising whilst still retaining the hotmail account ?

Hotmail via pop is usually restricted to those with a plus account, ie; a paid account. However, it is worth trying as some users to report they are able to get hotmail via pop. If this is the case then what I would consider doing is setting up a gmail account and then configuring the settings to gather the email from hotmail. You can then use either web or outlook based services to read the mail.
