If i remember right you will need to use your ancillarys and sensors your 99 engines a phase 2 also it will need a map

 

heads cause an issue..

the bottom end is a straight swap.. heads cause issue as you inlet manifold won't fit, the 97 inlet uses an idle valve not stepper motor for idle control so you can't easily use the 97 inlet manifold

lot of hassle for small gain
