Question Bonnet wont sit flush

Hi all,

new to the forum & only had my impreza sport a few weeks, I wanna smarten it up abit so I brought a turbo bonnet, its put it on this morn (easy job right?) well everything went smoothly till I lowered the lid & on the left hand side its not flush

I cant see whats catching though so im left thinking the arms are sprained (although my last CRAP bonnet sat fine) is there anything I needed to alter under the hood or anything or do I just need new arms? nobody can see why its catching & its just bloody irritating me now.

Anyone else had this problem replacing a bonnet??

I had the same problem after taking my bonnet off for a re-build. Sat fine before - put it back on and it wasn't flush. Nothing catching, so I adjusted the front Bonnet catch as low as it would go - still nothing. In the end I had a mechanic put it right while it was in for loads of bits n bobs - He said the bonnet was sitting too far forward/back on the arms (can't remember which way). Anyway - he farted about with it and now it sits perfect.

Hope this helps (It bugged me for ages!!)

Tucker
