i,m looking at getting some roof bars for my impreza sti saloon 2005 model for trips abroad, i,v seen a set of clamps and bars on ebay , but does any boby know if they fit into the door space or under the black strip on the edge of the roof . i would sneek a look at halfrauds normally but they dont stock our subaru parts

I've got the genuine bars for mine (Mont Blanc I think). Not fitted them yet (eBay purchase as they were a good price) you need to remove the roof strips, then bolt brackets to the roof, where they stay, I guess they will protrude slightly which is why I've not fitted them - easier to borrow dads Volvo if I need the bars!

I may be tempted to part with them for a cheeky offer ;-)
