Default Juddering on acceleration !?

I've noticed a strange juddering has developed when accelerating under boost in 1st and 2nd gears. Its more noticeable at around 2500 - 3500 RPM and then it goes. Anyone got any idea, I wouldn't know where to start looking.

Thanks in advance.

What car have you got.
When was it last serviced.
What mods does it have.

1) 1994 Impreza WRX STI (Import).

2) Was serviced when the new engine was dropped in, about 4 days ago.

3) FMIC, alloy rad, remote oil cooler, uprated manifold, decat exhaust, HKS induction kit, lightened flywheel, uprated clutch, Blitz dump valve.

Thanks,

Damien.

I thought that initially but it happens when my foot is totally off the clutch pedal. Besides the clutch was replaced about four days ago.

I get something similar and it seems to come from the rear left hand side.
When I had all the fluids changed, my mechanic remarked that the rear diff oil looked knackered, so I am guessing it may be a rear diff issue.
I would describe it as more of a heavy vibration than a judder though.

Funny enough, my mate who's a mechanic drove it last night and he said the same thing. He said the judder feels like its coming from the back end and said its probably the rear diff on the way out.

Expensive job to buy/replace ?

Awesome, much cheaper than id expected.

Would I be better off getting a Subaru dealer to fit it or should any garage do the trick ?

not sure on that one tbh ... i would have thought any competent mechanic should be able to do it but i've not had any experience with rear diffs so best to see what others think ...

Thanks for your help.

One of my friends dad's got a specialist garage and builds rally cars. Going to call in tomorrow morning and see if he can do it/price it up.

I will keep the thread updated for anyone who possibly has similar problems.
