I have bought new bucket seats with both side & base mountings, now what I want to know is what are the rules regarding bolting the side mounts to the floor? do I need extra plates etc in the floor pan?.
Also the original seat belt mount is on the seat, so again what are the rules regarding fitting eye bolts for the drivers left & passenger right harness points. I am doing the car safety features as per time attack spec (clubman)/hill climb etc regs, the seats are FIA approved & the harnesses will be when I order them, so ideally the seat frames will also meet FIA spec.
If I base mount can I still use subaru seat runners etc & fab some brackets/plates to fit the bucket seats, if so will this meet the regs?

 

Get a copy of the MSA Competitors yearbook, commonly known as the Book Blue its all in there including diagrams etc.
