Default Wanted v4 type r or 2001 jdm sti

Having sold my Type R last year and wishing I didn't I have now decided to take the plunge and look to buy another one or a 2001 jdm sti.

Ideally I would like to part ex my 2001 Audi A6 2.5tdi tiptronic which returns around 45mpg on a run, see attached link
Audi : Audi A6 2.5TDI Tiptronic

so if anyone should by any chance be looking for a roomy economical car and want to do a deal let me know.

I would also look at a cash purchase if it was at the right money. I sold my type r last march for £5700 and it was a version 4, auction grade 4 car so I know what I am prepared to pay.

So you don't want a part ex and you are not bothered about selling

Based on what I sold mine for last year a v4 Type R will need to be a bit lower than you are asking.

Anyone else got anything

I didnt say i wasnt bothered about selling i said im not desperate to sell as i have a Spec C to play with aswell. If you can find a decent type r for less than 5k good luck to you but i think you will have your work cut out.You might get a V3 for that if you are lucky

I was looking for a V4 type r for many months...anything sub 5k even low mileage needed work and money spending on it. I paid £6k for decent one, being black slightly higher premium but it also had high mileage...so 5k for the silver one is deffinately a good price for a V4.

don't get me wrong of all the versions I think an original type r is the one to go for but I have been offered a few original ones for £5k and am just holding out a bit. This was the one I sold for £5700 a year ago so I am basing what I am willing to pay against this, rightly or wrongly.
