Any newage owners with Toyo Proxes T1R's?
As above. I've currently got the original Potenza RE070's all round, but need a new set of tyres. I don't much care for the RE070's and was thinking about the Proxes as they're a reasonable price and I was happy with them on my wife's MR2. Comments would be appreciated...
I had also thought about Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas, but there don't seem to be any dealers local to me who can get them?!

Not all that impressed with them TBH. Wear rate is pretty good but i find they lack any real grip until pretty warm, certainly in the wet on cold tyres you have to be very carefull with your right foot until they get a bit heat into them. I've had handfulls of understeer with them. Never really got any better after having the Geometry checked either.
Never tried the Vredesteins but they will certainly be on my car next time round.
Get them from Camskill and get your local garage/tyre fitter to put them on for u

Not a patch on the RE070's.
But I managed around 20,000 miles on mine in the scoob
As a day to day tyre they are very good IMO.
Toyo 888's I tried fell in pieces within a few 1000 miles so steer clear of them if you are wanting a day to day tyre.

I rate them highly - had them on my old car, so put them straight on my scooby when i got it. They do have soft sidewalls so you need to up the pressure a tiny bit in them to make them firm up and to avoid them rolling when driving hard.

i am on the other side mate, just had to replace my f1's and went with t1r's as they were on a deal at a local garage and i ave to say as it stands i find the t1r's have more grip and dont seem to let the front end drift out as much. real test will be in the rain though buit as stands i prefer them. both great tyres though.
