Found a link to this via the local press, the 97 WRC is of interest Chassis No: PRO-WRC-97-001 is reported to be the first WRC spec Impreza Built and driven by the late Colin Mcrae, It was reportedly used in the 97 Monte Carlo, but the reg of that car was P2WRC, whereas P18WRC was used in Australia, anyone verify or got £85,000 to lend me?

Was this car also going through the Coys auction after the Autosport show this year?

Its had a full rebuild but when (and if) Colin was driving it he was sitting on the left hand side!!

It probably is genuine car but still the car shouldn't have been messed with - was in the auction for circa £75,000

It was reportedly the first car built to WRC regs and used by Prodrive for the 97 season before being rebuilt and sold on which may explain it being RHD. I understand that the later WRC cars using the ATM all had them removed when sold on.
