Default uk my 00 considering ra/type r gearbox

Hey there guys i have a uk my 00 running a rather conservative 314bhp using a vf28 and all the supporting mods. Im not a big fan of speeds over 100mph however i do love giving it some. I am gonna do a bit of RWYB this year and would consider using a short ratio box. Is there any worthwile gains to be had from me doing so. Cheers joe

Depends on your driving, on the motorways at 70 your doing like 4k rpm, you will need to also replace the rear diff with the gearbox, as for times, well it may knock the odd 1/10 of a sec off, so personally i dont think its worth the hassle.
