Heat with a hairdryer to soften the glue and gently pull.
Or use strong thread/fishing line to saw through the glue.
Use something like Autoglym bug and tar reover to clean up the residue and a final polish/wax.

Exactly what i was going to say!! Done it this way myself with a hair dryer and carefully pull of badges. (My girlfriends expensive hair dryer ended up being left in the garage- i forgot to bring it back into the house before she got home!!) Lets just say i lost a few browny points!!LOL
