My girlfriends pads need changing on her 51 plate Mini One.

Does anyone know which ones to get, and where from? She wants front and back.

All I know is that on the rears you need a special helical tool

They should be cheap enough now from most motor factor

I did the rears on my wifes Mini and it was a ball acher.

A special tool would have been handy but I used lots of patience and swearing and finally wound the pistons in.
The rear pads cost me £30 from a local car spares shop. hth

 

BMW are keen to keep the workshops going, ring them for a quote. **** doing anything on the car in winter........bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Was going to do it, but may not bother now!

 

Nah its easy, you don't 'need' any special tools, you can just use a flat bar to wind the rear pistons in and a G clamp to push the fronts in. Just remember to undue the bleed nipples when doing this as forcing the fluid back up can damage the ABS module, allegedly, then topup

If they're the same as VW type calipers, I've never done that.

Take the cap off the fluid reservoir though.
