Dont think it will be a type RA unless it's a Spec C, i dont think the type R moniker has existed since the classic impreza.

I may be wrong though.

 

Type R = the "R" in Retna which was the Jap description for the 2 door bodyshell and classic only.

RA = Race Altered which was a lightweight classic model and spilled over into the first newage (bugeye) model 2001 (Jap) and then was quietly dropped because it was hopeless LOL

The Race Altered (RA) Classic morphed into the more modern newage "Spec C" (The "C" meaning Competition I think).........to which Subaru added "RA" at a later date when it had a go at the 'Ring time trial...but it now means "Record Attempt"..
