1st Gear Poping out of Gear

I have just recently started having problem with the gearbox, is it pops out of first gear sometimes, is this a sign that the box is on the way out?
It is a MY94 WRX STI that has done about 43K, if it is the box any good places were I can get a good job done for a good price, also if it is the box can I upgrade it or do I have to put the same box back in

Mine did this from new on slow downhills, and I suspect it's actually a design fault.
It's never got any worse (or better for that matter) and I've done 61K miles now.
I just avoid going slowly downhill, or change into second.
Personally I would not worry about it.
