They test the STI vs 968 Clubsport and a new Clio.

The GREY read GREY import STI wins. However they issue a warning.

"Apparently Impreza owners are amongst the most **** and Obsessive you'll find. Buy this grey import and you might find yourself in a Pub in 10 years time talking about the niceties of torque split and Brembo brakes. IMPREZA OWNERSHIP COULD MAKE YOU BORING"

But then again do you think he talks about whether he has Bridgestone or Toyo tyres or if Shell petrol is better than Esso Petrol or what tyre pressures he runs.... etc. etc.

I have to admit I have been called **** and obsessive by my girlfriend for cleaning out my glovebox and polishing it with some spray polish ....

I was **** and obsessive about cars <B>way</B> before I got the scooby.

This is bit like saying that all BMW drivers are jumped up little ****** who think they own the road, oh, guess that could go for Range/Land Rover owners as well (btw - this is a JOKE!)

 

I've checked the entire internet, and I can't find a reference to brake dust on Rover wheel trims anywhere, so we must be **** and obsessive. My wife thinks I am anyway as far as the scoob is concerned.

p.s. What is wrong with polishing your glovebox? Does everyone not do this after they have finished polishing the underside of their car?

 

Did it mention trawling Internet BBSes for like minded drivellers?

I find what they say is true to an extent, ive been to some meets where most the owners are GEEKS and say they write for various publishing houses about their cars so why do they ask my advice??? .

Also alot of owners ive met are Techy Geeks, this does not include the lads i know but I mean just by looking at someone walking down the street who resembles Adrian Mole must be a Scooby owner and I bet he drives a UK Scoob LOL

Most people on this BBS are in IT or something even more boring and let me guess most are contractors too? LOL

I love letting Contractors go when cutting budgets LOL, sorry I had to say that even though I don't mean most of it. Why is it that Scooby owners can feel 1BHP increase in their car when they mod it? Im amazed at this, I think these guys should work in the F1 world where they would be valued.

Also alot of people that toy with their own car ie mapping etc etc think they are the Kings of Knowledge when it takes years to learn this... nothing wrong with having a hobby I suppose but come on lads its only a car that we all love to drive, its not a woman who you can love and cherish where as the car will sting you more than a car anyway.

Last thing is how many people on this BBS are married and have kids? I don't think there are many is there? just curious as my wife keeps asking me "well do these guys have kids and a wife too like you?" LOL

Grey, Sti, **** all in one sentance they must be referring to you and your car mate, mind you they should have said anus not ****.

 

I think Chins has a point, I have been to a couple of meets and I must say there is a hell of a lot boring people that own imprezas. They are more interested in standing about talking rubbish about how fabby there scooby is rather than getting in and driving the bloody thing.
